I stayed in Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi for 6 nights with my family. Before we had booked our holiday we took a close look at most of the hotels and guest reviews. The brand new motel in Daytona Beach has a burm built into the parking lot about 6" from front tires of all parked cars running the full length of their lot. I was unpacking my car and ended up in this *** gulley and snapped my 2nd toe. I was surprised to see that Hyatt charge taxes and fees for a "free" night. I am a very frequent traveler and no other hotel I've ever stayed at has done this. The explanation for fees includes such things as business center, WiFi, local phone calls, and bike rental, none of which I would ever even use. Do Not Book you Hotel Reservations here. I would never make reservations ever again at the Hyatt. Once you make the reservations you are stuck with a nonrefundable room. I gave them plenty of notice for the cancellation of the room. They had at least a month to rebook the room and they claim that they cannot rebook it. I worked for Hyatt Place for almost 2 years. I only called in sick once, because I had strep throat and was told by a doctor I could not go into work. I worked my fingers to the bone in that place. Hyatt in Jamaica Montego Bay did not open as promised.My daughter's honeymoon package was confirmed. Travel agent was never notified. My wife and I travel all the time and always stay in upscale hotels. We've stayed in a few Hyatts and have never had problems until now. The trip was a surprise for my wife so I paid for the room via Western Union so she wouldn't see the deduction in our joint account from the hotel. Again, the hotel was paid for way in advance. Stayed at the Hyatt for two nights at a pretty pricey rate. Booking the room was fine. We went to check in recd the room key (10th floor) went to open the room, neither key worked, and the maid cleaning the adjacent room said she had not cleaned it yet.
